Tricia Smith, MS, LAc, DiplAc
NCBAHM Board-Certified Acupuncturist
Tricia specializes in pain management as well as neuro-acupuncture for acute and chronic central nervous system disorders. Tricia graduated from Tri-State College of Acupuncture in 2007 with a Master of Science in Acupuncture. In 2006, she studied in Beijing China as part of a WHO-sponsored TCM training program. Since then, her 20 years of work experience includes several years working at the NeuroPsychiatry Center in Bridgeville, PA, and 15 years as part of the Allied Health Team with the UPMC Center for Integrative Medicine. She has contributed to medical research as a Co-Investigator and Clinical Acupuncturist on several research studies, including Acupuncture for Cancer-Related Pain, in 2015.
Her practice is informed by multiples styles of acupuncture, including electro-acupuncture, myofascial trigger point acupuncture, and Dr. Richard Tan's Balance Method. She is also Level 2 Certified in Neuro-Acupuncture. Tricia enjoys continuously expanding her knowledge and skills to better serve her patients. Recent special areas of interest are migraine, fibromyalgia, neuropathy, and Bell's Palsy.
Dezza Pastor, ATSI, eRYT
Structural Integrator, Yoga & Meditation Instructor
Dezza is a certified Anatomy Trains Structural Integrator (ATSI). She is trained under the tutelage of the school’s founder, Thomas Myers and his select senior instructors. ATSI is a type of structural bodywork that works on fascia to unwind your body’s habitual tension patterns, restoring its natural ease, balance, and resiliency. Her bodywork practice involves a series of sessions that involve slow, deep fascial manipulations coupled with movement and postural re-education. She is also trained in treating patients with scoliosis by Meredith Stephens of Bodyworks Depot.
Beyond manual bodywork, Dezza also has extensive movement and mindfulness experience through yoga and meditation. She has various certifications with Yoga Medicine in their different orthopedic and introspective practice modules towards her 500hr program.
