Insurance Coverage

UPMC Health Plans:  I am an in-network provider and I accept employer or marketplace UPMC Health Plans.  Limitations apply.  Please contact us at 412-623-3023 or check your plan terms and conditions to see if your specific health concern has acupuncture coverage.  New patients will be asked to obtain a script or referral from their physician.  Coverage applies to patients 18 years or older.

Unfortunately, UPMC for You or UPMC for Life plans do not cover acupuncture.

VA Health System:  If you are a Veteran, I am also in-network as a Community Provider through the VA Health System. Pre-approval from the VA is required.  Contact us for more information.

Other Insurances:  While I cannot bill other insurances for you, I can provide you with a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Some Medicare Advantage plans advertise acupuncture benefits for low back pain, so check with your plan to see if you can use an out-of-network provider.

Flex Spending and HSA plans can be used for acupuncture.
