My Background and Approach

After working with many folks who suffered with traumatic brain injuries and chronic migraine, I took a special interest in Neuro-Acupuncture, which is a newer and evolving specialization within the acupuncture field.  I am currently pursuing a certification program through the Neuro-Acupuncture Institute in Santa Fe, NM, and in the last 10 years, I have studied with other prominent acupuncturists who are performing cutting edge research that explains the physiological effects of classical acupuncture in western terms.

As one of the professional consultants at the UPMC Center for Integrative Medicine for over 14 years, I have worked closely with medical doctors, physician assistants, clinical researchers, psychologists, naturopathic doctors, chiropractors, structural integrators, and many other bodyworkers and movement specialists in an integrated, comprehensive setting where we can coordinate care and give patients a truly integrated healthcare experience.
